"Be a Tourist" program set to launch its 4th year. The Bucks Co. Visitors Bureau is offering passports to residents for $10. The object of this program is the familiarize residents with attractions, lodgings, shopping and restaurants and to experience the many treasures in our area at a discount. Passports may be purchased at the New Hope Visitors Center or www.experiencebuckscounty.com

Both lanes of the New Hope-Lambertville bridge will remain open while the bridge is being renovated from April through November, although delays may be experienced.

As of Monday, April 14, the bridge on Atkinson Road is closed to all traffic until repairs can be made. The bridge is located between Street and Pidcock Creek Rds.

New Hope's Travis Gallery hosts the 17th installment of the Byers Bucks Fever Art Exhibition, 6089 Route 202, New Hope. The exhibit is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are 12 - 5 pm, Tues thru Sat. and 12 - 4 pm Sunday. Proceeds from donations will go to the Don F. Audubon Sponsors Simplicity Circle for Sustainable Environment
New Hope, PA ­ The "Simplicity Circle", an on-going study group sponsored by the Bucks County Audubon Society, will meet on Wednesday, April 9 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Audubon Visitor Center. Participants in this informal study group examine a range of ideas that help simplify their lives, and in the process, create a more sustainable environment.
The group meets twice monthly on Wednesdays.

Bucks County Audubon Seeks Adopt-a-Highway Cleanup Volunteers
New Hope, PA ­ Volunteers are needed to clean up litter on the portion of River Road in Upper Makefield Township including the Washington Crossing State Park Visitor Center on Sunday, April 13 from 9:00 am to noon. Call the Bucks County Audubon Society office at (215) 297-5880 by Tuesday, April 8 to volunteer for the Adopt-a-Highway cleanup crew. There is no fee for participation.
Bucks County Audubon Society has adopted a section of River Road that includes the Washington Crossing Historical Park Visitor Center. Dave Long, Adopt-a-Highway cleanup leader for the Bucks County Audubon Society, will meet with cleanup volunteers at the parking lot across Route 32 (River
Rd.) from the Memorial Building of Washington Crossing State Park in Washington Crossing. He will give a brief safety review and distribute supplies at 9:00 am.

Paunacussing Preserve Bird Walk
New Hope, PA - Bucks County Audubon Society, in cooperation with the Natural Lands Trust, offers a free "Bird Walk at the Paunacussing Preserve" on Tuesday, April 15 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Registration is required by April 14. For further information call the Bucks County Audubon Society at 215-297-5880. Paunacussing Preserve, located at Route 413 and Holicong Road, has several varieties of ideal bird habitats. Audubon guides will assist participants to identify birds located on the walk.
The Honey Hollow Environmental Education Center, operated by the Bucks County Audubon Society is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Sundays from 12 noon - 5:00 p.m. Visitors can walk the nature trails, observe birds at the Bird Blind and enjoy displays and exhibits at the Visitor Center.
