The New Hope Auto Show, normally held every August,
has been cancelled for the first time in its 46 year history. School
district officials said that the show grounds and parking areas will be
affected by the construction of a new school building, during the normal
show time in August.
BARC is accepting original works depicting Bucks Co. landmarks to be
considered for the 12th annual BARC Holiday Card Series. Submissions should
be in oil or water color and incorporate a generic holiday theme.

August 9 & 10, 2003 - Showcase the Arts of New
Hope Weekend
Food Glorious Food at the heart of this town-wide celebration of the
arts.
The weekend event will feature performances, exhibitions and children’s
activities, culminating in a dinner/celebration of the Culinary Arts where
guests will enjoy a diverse sampling of great wines and fabulous food
prepared by some of the area’s finest chefs.
The August 10 dinner will feature offerings from Hamilton’s Grill Room,
Marsha Brown’s, Triumph Brewery, Café Europa, Slack’s Market, Smithfield’s
Market, Lilly’s on the Canal, Dish Catering, Bill Gill, Thomas Sweet, and
Variete Gourmet Foods among others. The parking lot at Union Square will be
transformed into Restaurant Row with area chefs serving everything from
roast suckling pig to savory Southern dishes in intimate café like settings.
The event celebrates the culinary community and the amazing diversity and
quality of fine and family dining available in the New Hope area.
Other restaurants will participate by preparing food to be presented during
the cocktail hour. Doors open at 6PM and tickets for the party are $35 in

Showcase the Arts of New Hope, a weekend event to celebrate the arts and
artists of New Hope, Pennsylvania and environs, at locations throughout the town. In past years this event has featured
the French connection by sponsoring a Bastille Day celebration. This year
the New Hope Arts, Inc. committee has decided to expand the event to include
an even broader sampling of the arts of the area – including visual –
performing and literary arts.
Each year New Hope Arts Inc. will continue to feature a special “central
theme” for the weekend event. This year’s event will focus on the Culinary
Arts and will honor the exceptional restaurants and chefs of the area who
continue to bring national attention to New Hope while contributing so much
to the community itself.
The town wide celebration will feature family activities, special shows and
sales, performances and other activities in addition to the festive and fun
filled “Restaurant Row” dinner featuring food by some of the areas finest
chefs and restaurants.

On Saturday, August 16th at 3 P.M. the Roxey Ballet Company will present the
Annual Hot Summer Nights Choreographic Showcase at the Steven J. Buck
Theatre located at 180 West Bridge Street in New Hope, PA. This premier
event features original works by professional, cutting edge choreographers.
All work presented by professional and up and coming Roxey Ballet II artists
and advanced students of the Mill Ballet School. Tickets for the showcase
are $26.50 for Adults and $19.50 for seniors, disabled and children under
age 12. A Pre-performance discussion and reception for all ages will be held
in the theatre lobby at 1:30 p.m. and its cost is $10 per person. A gala
salsa reception featuring Latin cuisine, spirits and music will be held at
the Canal Studios in Lambertville, NJ at 6 p.m. The reception includes a raw
bar and champagne party. Rhythm of the Hearts will be providing the musical
entertainment for the celebration. The cost to attend this reception is $50
