Habitat for Humanity Birdhouse Blitz
New Hope, PA - On Saturday, September 6 from 1:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. the
Bucks County Audubon Society and Habitat for Humanity offers children ages 5
and up, when accompanied by an adult, the opportunity to construct and
decorate a birdhouse at the Audubon Visitor Center.. The program is free.
All materials will be provided by Home Depot in Montgomeryville.
Registration is required by September 2. An adult must accompany all

"Birds and Their Habitat Walks" at Honey Hollow
New Hope, PA Bucks County Audubon Society offers a special "Birds and
Their Habitat " guided walk on Saturday September 6 from 7:00 8:30 a.m. at
Honey Hollow Environmental Education Center, 2877 Creamery Road, New Hope,
PA. The walk is open to all ages and skill levels. For more information,

"Shorebirds: Amazing Global Wanderers" Subject of Bucks County
Audubon Society Meeting
New Hope, PA - The Bucks County Audubon Society presents a free public
program, "Shorebirds: Amazing Global Wanderers" on Tuesday, September 9 at
7:30 p.m. at the Audubon Visitor Center at Honey Hollow Environmental
Education Center. Join Kevin Karlson as he takes guests face to face with
these champion long distance migrants. This is a regularly scheduled meeting

Audubon Society presents Preschool Explorers "Butterflies & Moths" Nature
explorers, ages 3 to 5 years, accompanied by a parent or caregiver, can
investigate the world of flying creatures. Registration is required by
September 5 for the Tuesday morning session, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. or
either the Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon session, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.
Fees for children only are non-members $10 per child, BCAS members $7 per

Audubon offers Teacher Naturalist Training
New Hope, PA Friday, September 12 Bucks County Audubon Society offers the
first in a series of four training sessions for potential Audubon Teacher
Naturalists at the Honey Hollow Environmental Education Center from 9:00
a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Classes continue every Friday through March 14. Adults
interested in working with school children at the center should register
before September 5 by calling the Education Office at 215-297-0309. There is
no fee for the training. Participants will be introduced to techniques for
sharing the wonders of the environment with groups of students who visit the
Honey Hollow Environmental Education Center. Upon completion of instruction,
participants will be asked to teach at least 15 hours. The program begins at
the Audubon Visitor Center, 2877 Creamery Road, New Hope, PA, off Route 263,
two miles east of Peddlers Village.

The "Simplicity Circle", an on-going study group sponsored by the Bucks

group examine a range of ideas that help simplify their lives, and in the
process, create a more sustainable environment. .

Paunacussing Preserve Bird Walk
New Hope, PA - Bucks County Audubon Society, in cooperation with the Natural
Lands Trust, offers a free "Bird Walk at the Paunacussing Preserve" on
Tuesday, September 16 at 6:00 p.m. Registration is requested by September 9.
For registration and directions to the meeting site, call the Bucks County
Audubon Society at 215-297-5880. Paunacussing Preserve has several varieties
of ideal bird habitats. Audubon guides will assist participants to identify
birds located on the walk.

Audubon Society Leads Birding Trip at Lindsay Farm
New Hope, PA - The Bucks County Audubon Society will lead a bird walk on the
Lindsay Farm, in conjunction with the Heritage Conservancy, on Tuesday,
September 16 from
6:00 to 8:00 p.m. This former dairy farm, now home to the National Audubon
Society Science Center offices, provides 197 acres of diverse habitat for
many birds in the heart of Bucks County. Birding will take place in the
fields, upland forest and pristine riparian habitat along the Neshaminy
Creek.
Registration and payment is required by September 10 as space is limited.

in New Hope with TimeOFF art reporter Amy Brummer. Ms. Brummer, who studied
at the American Folk Art Museum in New York, will guide participants through
New Hope, which she says has become a "town-wide sculpture garden.". Ms.
Brummer has met and interviewed many of the sculptors and will offer a
lively discussion about the inspiration for the pieces. Several sculptors
will also accompany Ms. Brummer on the tour. The tour is free, but donations
will be accepted for the nonprofit New Hope Arts, Inc. organization, and the

Forest Grove - Sesquicentennial Extravaganza Planned
Forest Grove Presbyterian Church, a landmark situated among scenic Bucks
County’s finest farmlands, is celebrating its 150th birthday. The public is
invited to join in a weekend-long bash offering food, games and live
entertainment as the congregation celebrates this monumental occasion in
historic fashion.
Festivities will be kicked off Friday night, September 26th, at 7:30 P.M and
run until roughly 10 o’clock. Sojourn, a local Christian Rock Band, will be
providing partygoers with live entertainment. Come and partake in the
night’s many other activities. All are urged to stay and enjoy the bonfire.
You’ll be certain to want to revel along with Forest Grove on Saturday
beginning at 3:00 PM. The docket includes a chicken barbecue (4:00-6:00
while chickens last), pony rides and one unforgettable corn maze. This
fun-filled day was planned especially with the children in mind. Kids from 1
year to 101 years are welcome to attend. The day’s activities will cease
around 8:00 PM.
The extravaganza will conclude on Sunday with a gathering to start
immediately following the regularly scheduled church service (held in the
sanctuary) and ending around 2:00 PM under the tent.
Food, refreshments and the opportunity to look into the church’s past will
be available throughout the weekend. The festivities promise fun and
