"Tis The Season for a Perfect Stroll"
Winter Offers The Perfect Backdrop For Enjoying The New Hope Outdoor Sculpture Show. Earlier this year New Hope, Pennsylvania was transformed into an open-air museum where visitors and residents were invited to enjoy works by seven sculptors exhibiting large outdoor pieces throughout the community. The exhibition sponsored by New Hope Arts, Inc. offers a diverse and exciting mix of
contemporary and traditional sculpture by artists from as near as Lambertville,
New Jersey and as far away as Chicago. As the leaves fall and snow settles on the ground the community offers a special backdrop in which to enjoy the exciting show which features noted sculptors who have been awarded Fellowships from the National Endowment of the Arts and important foundations such as New York Foundation for the Arts and the Pollock-Krasner Foundation. The artists have won numerous awards in prestigious international and national exhibitions and are included in the permanent collections of prominent museums as well as in public and private collections throughout the country and abroad.
Walking guides to the exhibition are available at several exhibition sites including the New Hope Historical Society, the Wedgwood Inn, the New Hope Information Center and Golden Door Gallery. Guides and additional information about New Hope Arts, Inc. and the exhibition are also available on their website at www.NewHopeArtsInc.org.
This exhibition sponsored by New Hope Arts, Inc. is partially funded by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, Pennsylvania Partners for the Arts, Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance, and site sponsors including the Borough of New Hope, the New Hope Chamber of Commerce, Grover Stults, CPA and Triumph Restaurant &Brewery.
