Roxey Ballet Company - April Offering - Children's Classics: "Pied Piper of Hamelin" & "La Baliene Blanche "   Date: April 3 & 4, 2004 at 3:00 p.m.
Location: The Robert Schonhorn Arts Center, Peapack , NJ
Tickets: Adults $26.50, Seniors, Disabled and Children Under 12, $23.50
Pied Piper of Hamelin, with music by Richard Jarboe and Harvey Shield was created in May of 2002 and represents a fusion of classic dance, tap, modern, street dance and musical theater with original music and narration. This timeless classic story follows the original script of the Broadway Musical Hamelin that was presented on NY and LA stages in the early 1980's. This ballet is great for audiences that would otherwise not traditionally attend classical dance performance. La Baliene Blanche, with music by Richard Jarboe, is a retelling of the classic tale Moby Dick with a contemporary flair and driven with clear parallels between the characters in the classic tale and gang life in America today. The question is "What happens when you choose to follow a charismatic leader with bad intensions?"

The Birdathon, now in its 18th year, is a fund raising competition between teams to identify the most bird species in Bucks County. All levels of birders are welcome. Money is raised through pledges or donations to support the education and conservation programs of BCAS. This year’s goal for the event has been set at $1500. All funds raised through the Birdathon are used locally for the Bucks County Audubon’s environmental projects. The Birdathon also produces valuable information on bird populations. Avian statistics accumulated since the start of the event have provided a better understanding of the ecological health of our county. There is a registration fee of $10 per person. Teams should register by April 22. To register a team, join a team, make a pledge, or sponsor one of the many teams, call the Bucks County Audubon office at (215) 297-5880.
