Annual Bucks County Audubon Society Birdathon
- teams of bird watchers will scour Bucks County to spot birds for the Annual Bucks County Audubon Society Birdathon. The Birdathon, now in its 18th year, is a fund raising competition between teams to identify the most bird species in Bucks County. All levels of birders are welcome. Money is raised through pledges or donations to support the education and conservation programs of BCAS. This year’s goal for the event has been set at $1500. All funds raised through the Birdathon are used locally for the Bucks County Audubon’s environmental projects. The Birdathon also produces valuable information on bird populations. Avian statistics accumulated since the start of the event have provided a better understanding of the ecological health of our county. There is a registration fee of $10 per person. Teams should register by April 22. To register a team, join a team, make a pledge, or sponsor one of the many teams, call the Bucks County Audubon office at (215) 297-5880. Roxey Ballet Company - May Magic - Children's Classics: "Carnival Of The Animals" & "Graduation Ball"  Date: May 1 & 2, 2004 at 3 p.m.   Location: Villa Victoria Theater, Ewing, NJ Tickets: Adults $26.50, Seniors, Disabled and Children Under 12, $19.50. Share this annual tradition with friends and family! Children's classic stories provide the most exciting family entertainment you've ever seen at a ballet performance. Carnival Of The Animals brings to life the music of the one of the most famous composers of our time, Camille Saint-Saëns. Young and old alike are sure to leave with smiles and memories when they are done visiting the land of the Majestic Lion, Braying Mule, Dancing Elephant, and Bouncing Kangaroos. Graduation Ballet Set in a fashionable girls' school in New Jersey in 2004, the pupils of a ladies finishing
school invite the graduates of a nearby military academy to their annual ball for which they have arranged a "divertissement." The cadets arrive with their General-Director who flirts with the head mistress of the girls' school. Stiff and awkward at first, the boys soon start to dance with the girls. There follows a series of divertissements - 'The Drummer Boy', a fanciful pas de deux - 'the Wili and the Scotsman' and the lively fouette contest before the final dancing to Strauss' Perpetuum Mobile, transforming the ball into a wild celebration. Reluctantly, the General-Director and cadets take their leave at the end of the evening. Click image for full posted with Ticket and contact info!
