New Hope Arts Inc. in cooperation with Triumph Restaurant in Union Square in New Hope, Pennsylvania has opened Shelter From The Storm. The exhibition features paintings, prints and photography by area artists in the region depicting houses and shelter in literal and conceptual ways. The show will continue through December 2005 and is open daily from 12noon. The exhibition features works by artists

Carl Anderson, Jack Bodzas, Nura Petrov, Gail S. Scotch, Nancy Shill, David J. Simchock, and Michael Wiley. All works are for sale. A percentage of each sale will benefit New Hope Arts Inc. In December 2005 the Selection Committee will review applications for small group shows featuring two to three artists to be held in 2006. Exhibitions are open to artists working in all media that is suitable for hanging on the wall. The exhibition area is well suited for large works. The Bucks County Audubon Society presents a free public program on “Resident Breeding Birds of Bucks County” on Tuesday, Nov. 8, at 7:30 p.m. at the Audubon Visitor Center at the Honey Hollow Environmental Education Center. The 2004 Breeding Bird Survey will serve as the basis for a discussion of which birds raise their young in Bucks County. The presentation will feature beautiful photographs and interesting facts about our native birds.
The program is FREE. Donations are appreciated. Light refreshments will be served. Pre-registration not required. Haas-Muth Gallery presents "Monet Through My Eyes"

Side by side exhibition by Award winning photographer Derek Fell and Bucks County Artist Dot Bunn. The exhibit will feature 40 pieces of art, with each artists vision of the beauty of Claude Monet's home and inspiration "The Gardens at Giverny". The opening reception is on Sat. Nov. 12th from 6-10pm with Derek and Dot in attendance.
Derek Fell has been described as the world's most widely published garden photographer. His horticultural picture library has published garden images worldwide in books, newspapers and magazines. He has won more awards from the Garden Writers Association than any other photographer and has published over 60 books including "Secrets of Monet's Garden" and "The Impressionist Garden". Dot Bunn's many awards include the Phillips' Mill Annual Exhibition Patrons Award for Painting 2005 and their award for Best Traditional Painting 1998. This summer she received the Tinicum Arts Festival Best in Show Award for "American Soybeans". This exhibition marks a new subject matter for Dot, "Monet's gardens are an expression of art themselves and were an inspiration for a world renowned artist like Monet, and we are fortunate that they have been preserved and are still in existence to inspire present day artists like myself." :Dot Bunn

The Lambertville Coalition for Peace will be holding an opening reception for the War and Peace Juried Art Show at The Prallsville Mill in Stockton from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The exhibit will also be open to the public on November 19th, 20th, and 26th from 1-5pm. The show will consist of works based on the theme of “War and Peace.” The jurors have selected these works from submissions by more than 100 artists from the Delaware Valley region. The works represent a wide range of political and philosophic viewpoints.
The jurors for this exhibition are: Betsy Bowen (registrar and assistant curator, Grounds For Sculpture), Donna Gustafson (former director of exhibitions, Hunterdon Museum of Art), and Susan Roseman (proprietor of Riverbank Gallery in Stockton, NJ). Justin Pope will entertain at 6pm with his understated and poignant songs. The High Hearts , a local duo consisting of Shaun Ellis on mandolin and Matthew Pillischer on guitar, will follow at 7:30pm. Local sponsors will be providing an assortment of snack foods and refreshments. The Lambertville Coalition for Peace was founded in February of 2003 and has no religious or political affiliation.
