Artsbridge’s juried 2006 Annual Works on Paper Show will be held February 10-26 at Riverrun Gallery in Lambertville, New Jersey. The opening reception will be 7-9 p.m., Friday, February 10. The registration fee is $20 for Artsbridge members and $40 for nonmembers. Artists may submit a maximum of two pieces, which may not exceed 50" x 72" high, including frame. Submissions may be brought to the gallery noon-5 p.m., Friday, February 3, and Saturday, February 4. Phone calls to those who have been accepted will be made February 6 and 7. Artsbridge also is seeking volunteers to help receive art submissions, make phone calls to those who are accepted, return works to those who are not accepted, or help set up for the opening reception. New Hope Arts Inc. is hosting their first annual Auction & Benefit Party - The Sky’s the Limit- on February 18, 2006. The organization has a wonderful opportunity to establish a visual and performing arts center in New Hope at a property at Stockton Avenue & Bridge Street owned by Tom Scannapieco of Scannapieco Development Corp.. The building was the site of the April Sculpture Exhibition and currently is the site for the Chrisa Craig and Charles Kumnick Show. New Hope Arts Inc. is currently seeking donations for the auction. Contributors have offered gift certificates for overnight stays in area inns, paintings, prints, pottery, artist designed jewelry, great get aways and much more. Any business owner or artist who may be interested in making a donation may contact the organization at 215-862-3396 or NewHopeArts@aol.com. Monies raised from this event will be used to help outfit the building with chairs, lighting and other needed equipment. The organization is a 501c3 not for profit organization and donations are tax deductible as allowed by law. Donation forms are also available at the exhibition site at 2 Stockton Avenue, 2nd Floor in New Hope, PA. Beginning next week the space will be open Thursday - Sunday from 12noon to 5pm. Teacher Naturalist Training at Honey Hollow from 9:30am to 12:30pm. The Bucks County Audubon Society will offer the first training session for potential Audubon Teacher Naturalists at the Honey Hollow Environmental Education Center. Classes continue every Thursday through March 30. Join our staff of teacher naturalists and share in the fun and satisfaction of teaching at Honey Hollow. Adults interested in working with school children at the center should register for the training before February 21. Participants will be introduced to techniques for sharing the wonders of the environment with groups of students who visit the Honey Hollow Environmental Education Center. Upon completion, participants are asked to teach at least 15 hours, for which they will be paid. Fee: FREE. For registration and further information call the Society office at (215) 297-5880.
