Soup & Dessert Benefit for Maasai Cultural Exchange Project

The Maasai Cultural Exchange Project (MCEP) is holding a benefit Soup
& Dessert Buffet from 11AM -1PM on Saturday, April 14, 2007 at the Point Pleasant Baptist Church in Point Pleasant, PA. Delicious homemade soups and desserts will be served. The event is co-sponsored by the Junior Youth of the Point Pleasant Baptist Church. Tickets are $6.00. "We're excited about the Maasai visiting the US again in May, and this fundraiser is a great way to support our efforts to help our Maasai friends," says MCEP Co-founder and CEO of Frog Pond Productions Jennifer Ellsworth. This event will help defray the travel expenses of Kenyan Maasai tribal members who will return to Bucks County in May to visit area schools and community organizations to raise cultural awareness. To date, MCEP, a nonprofit organization, has, through generous donations and fund-raising events, provided money for the drilling and installation of three water wells, provided emergency food relief and promoted the education of more than 30 students through individual scholarships. MCEP is a program of Frog Pond Productions, a private, nonprofit organization located in Point Pleasant, PA. Frog Pond Productions is producing a documentary film called "Quench" about the drilling of the first water well in the village of Olosho-oibor in December 2005.
