The Williamsboy Band comes to New Hope. Rock N Roll, from a couple of 9 to 5 working class Americans.
The Williamsboy Band has been touring the east coast for over a year, and has been gathering fans from all walks of life. These working class nine to fiver’s have a sound that captures what it is too be a hard working American. Pay check to pay check, Ups and downs, and the simple little pleasures in life, which everyone can relate too. Unlike most of the music on the radio, and TV, this music is honest, true, and is drawn from life experience. With story telling elements reminiscent of the Tin Pan Alley artists of the 60’s, this band brings old time Rock N Roll back to a public who have been longing to hear music with purpose, and soul. Singer-Songwriter Mathew (aka-Billy) Williams has been writing songs since the late 80’s. Born in Lewiston, Maine later moving to the Tri-State area, this singer-songwriter has a sound of his own. His performances are gritty, and powerful. Williams got his moniker (The Williamsboy) from when he was an adolescent. “When something went a rye in my town people would always point the finger and say, oh, it was probably that Williamsboy, he must have done it” says Williams. The Williamsboy band is Rock n Roll, Blues, Folk, Funk, Country, Americana, and a case of ale. If you’re looking to have a great time, at a great place, and listen to some great music, Sunday May 10th at John and Peters, with The Williamsboy Band at 9:30pm would be a great choice.

Zumba Dance Fundraiser to Benefit the New Hope Eagle Fire House
The Zumba instructors of Cornerstone Health & Fitness invite you to a “ZUMBA BOMBERO”!
This “Fireman Zumba” event is being held at the New Hope Eagle Firehouse on Thursday,
May 14th 7 – 9pm, and will benefit both the New Hope Eagle Fire Company and Zumba Cares.
Zumba, which is Colombian slang for “to buzz” or “to move fast like a bee”, has one simple principle: Get Fit, Have Fun There are no complicated moves to learn and in no time, you are really dancing! Embracing all the fundamental fitness goals, Zumba classes efficiently burn calories, tone all muscle groups and incorporate a full range of motion. Anyone, at any age, or any fitness level, can really enjoy a Zumba class. It is now one of the leading fitness trends across the nation.
One of Zumba’s catch phrases is “Ditch the Workout. Join the Party!” The instructors at Cornerstone, New Hope, have created that party and are inviting everyone to attend. “Taking a Zumba class is like nothing you’ve ever done before! The music, the energy…your feet will move you! You’ll be hooked on it. ” says Stephanie Masceri, one of the certified Zumba instructors at Cornerstone who has been teaching Zumba since it first went national, three years ago.
“We wanted to show people what a great time they can have trying this class. But we also wanted to do something for the New Hope community.” says Jim Bishop, owner and manager at Cornerstone. He adds “We’ve got several community things going on at the moment, but we’re really excited about this one for the Fire Company. It’s going to be quite a night.”
Tickets for the event are on sale now at Cornerstone, New Hope – 415 S. York Road, New Hope, PA. 215.862.2200. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. You must be 15 years or older to attend.
