Nice Jewish Girls Gone Bad comes to New Hope for a little summer loving. It's the hippest Jewish hoedown ever, sort of like a retro night in the Catskills. Come spend another night with the sexiest yids around.
"Nice Jewish Girls Gone Bad" is a refreshing mix of comedy, music, spoken-word and show-stopping burlesque, told by the gals who learned
to smoke at Hebrew School, got drunk at their Bat-Mitzvahs and would
rather have more schtuppa than the chupah. These badass chosen chicks
boldly dare to deconstruct years of tradition, expectations and guilt in a fast-paced vaudeville extravaganza, complete with kick lines, pasties and a rendition of "L'chaim" with a fist in the mouth. This ain't yo' mama's "Fiddler". The gals are thrilled to come to New Hope. This is a very special and unique show, even if you are not Jewish, you'll have a great time watching "those crazy yids" work it. It's almost like being be a M.O.T* for the night without the guilt, nagging mother and 10 hour seders. Get yo' matzo ball with ?Nice Jewish Girls Gone Bad?!

July 15, 2005 - In Pennsbury School District, the members of Mrs. O’Banion’s Advanced Placement Spanish Language class committed themselves to an innovative community service project, which began immediately after their college placement examination on May 4, 2005. Recognizing the steady influx of Hispanics into Bucks County, these ambitious students have helped the Free Library of New Hope and Solebury to address the need for bilingualism in this community. Eager to apply the skills they have learned in second-language acquisition, our high school juniors and seniors have created signs, pamphlets, posters, and packets to advise patrons in both Spanish and English of available resources. Soon, visitors to the library will be able to follow well-delineated steps, written in both languages, which explain how to become a member of the Bucks County library system, operate the computers and check out books. In addition, they will be introduced to recent acquisitions in the library’s new Hispanic collection. Pennsbury’s most proficient students of Spanish anticipate a warm welcome from library members as they become instrumental in making significant changes to this public library that prides itself on serving a diverse community. Moreover, these students hope to make their translations available to all libraries in the Bucks County system. Pennsbury’s AP Spanish team consists of the following: Maddy Butterly, Jen DiRicco, Angie Giordano, Sara Konczylo, Gary McManus, Michelle Poulin, Perryne Vyas and Marilyn Zambrano.
