February/March 2001

Happy Valentines Day!
I came back from Arizona on the 5th but I wanted to do a Movie Review so I waited to finish this combined months column. Well, I had a great time in Arizona (not to mention spend a whole lot of money!). My Uncle, who I was staying with had some kind of viral cold so we didn’t to do as much as we could of but it was still fun. I needed a vacation! I’ve been soooo tired lately. Anyway, We went to a mall called the Fashion Square Mall. It was a really nice mall. We mostly “vegged” and pigged out. It was a great trip though. I saw tons of movies!
When I came back I was invited to my friend Imma’s party. I went and had a really great time! I saw “The house on Haunted Hill”. That was a creepy movie! My friend Chris and I were curled up under a cover like half the time! It was a really fun party we talked on Instant Messenger to some of my friend’s crushes and things. It was quite exciting! My friend Nicki and I got hyper on Orange Soda! I didn’t know that was possible until I went to the party!  I went out to a movie with 2 of my friends, Kristin and Kay~Kay. We saw the movie “Down to Earth”. That was a very funny movie! In some of the parts I felt like I was going to burst! It’s about a black comedian who gets hit by a truck. It is said by God’s angel to be his “Destiny”. There is a mistake in heaven and it turns out that he
wasn’t supposed to die! God kills someone else so he could be placed in a “rental” body. He doesn’t realize that he is himself in a white, old, rich man’s body! He has fallen in love with a woman that is in love with him in this man’s body! He is put in another (black comedian’s body. He has to start his love life all over again! This is a very funny movie! Staring Chris Rock. To see more on this movie go to: http://movies.yahoo.com
Then look for “Down to Earth”
