Unicode character map comes in handy when you need to insert a special symbol in your document: § ¥ £ ™ ® € ± † æ Ñ ¿ § ¥ £ ™ ® € ± † æ Ñ ¿ To open Character Map go to Start -> Run and type charmap.
Now click on the special character you want to insert in your document, click select and copy. Return to the document you were working on and press CTRL + V to paste it where you need it. You can also insert special characters by holding down ALT key and typing the combination of numbers that you can look up in the character map, i.e. to type Ÿ hold down ALT key and enter 0159. § ¥ £ ™ ® € ± † æ Ñ ¿ § ¥ £ ™ ® € ± † æ Ñ ¿
